Researchers investigate the possibility of a tornado during the Jasper wildfire, exploring a new class of fire-generated tornadoes and their implications for Canada's changing climate.

Residents and businesses of the townsite inside Jasper National Park found out Saturday for certain whether or not they have anything to return to.

"Returning from a walk with the dog I was struck by a mass of bizarre fire orange fungus tentacles covering all the stems of some low lying juniper bushed in our driveway. This is the first time I have seen it in 21 years of living here with the same juniper bushes."
