11-12-14 Late coho salmon run - Cordova, Alaska, USA
Observation: We have had a long run of salmon this year with ocean bright Coho salmon being caught in rivers in early November. While there are commonly Coho in spawning areas into the winter months, fresh Coho are rarely seen past mid-October. The last salmon run of the season normally are Coho's, and can be harvested all over the Copper River Delta. Because of easier access when harvesting, and their run into early fall when locals are less busy residents have been putting up more fish, which is very important subsistence resource for Cordovan's.
