Observation by Nivi Rosing:
We had our first hurricane, and many many storms with warm weather. It was 15 degrees Celsius in March, which is very unusual.
Comments from LEO Editors:
Thank you Nivi for your contribution to the LEO Network. The unusually warm weather has continued this summer, with Greenland experiencing rapid ice loss during this year's summer melting season (see related article attached here). Coastal Alaskan communities also experienced a very unusual autumn storm this year, ex-typhoon Merbok, which caused severe flooding and damage especially in northwest Alaska.
