The rain in July has been persistent and in some cases intense. At Cheney Lake there is plenty of evidence about the wet summer.
Observation by Mike Brubaker:
I don’t ever recall seeing the lake so full. This is another measure of the crazy amount of rain so far this summer. The pushkis (wild celery) are doing especially well. Along Turpin, one family was resorting to some interesting (and humorous) measures to protect their flowers, see flower umbrellas.
