The ocean is still open, and have not even begun to freeze yet.
Observation: Our lagoon froze mid-October, then melted at end of October, then refroze for a few days and now has melted since November 6, 2014. And is still melted. The ocean is still open, and have not even begun to freeze yet. We are unable to go out fishing for either tomcod, we haven't catch tomcods in five or more years. We are unable to go fishing for trout, nor are we able to go anywhere to catch caribou. We are stuck on this barrier island due to surrounding waters still unfrozen.
