Observation: Juvenile sand lance (Ammodytes personatus) were observed schooling in 2m of water on Island View Beach. Fish were not observed burrowing despite sandy substrate. Related to nearby outfall pipe? Observation made at 2:30 PM during a 2.8m high tide. - Ricky Belanger, Victoria, BC
