Presenter: Roman Dial, Professor of Mathmatics and Biology at Alaska Pacific University

Description:

This presentation will talk about changes in Brooks Range treelines between the 1970s and today in the context of climate and soil nutrients. It will also describe a population of spruce that jumped the southern Brooks Range in the 1920s to establish a prolific population in a valley without spruce for 100,000 years.
