Temperatures in Finland last month were between 1.5 and 3.5 degrees Celsius warmer than normal in most parts of the country.
The average temperature throughout the country in June was 16.5 degrees, beating the previous high of 16.2 degrees set in 1953.
Finland is continuing to heat up this summer - and nearing the all-time heat record for June.
It was the hottest summer in the 174-year history of weather records in Helsinki, and the second hottest in the 118-year history of the weather station in Sodankylä, Lapland.
A temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in the southern city of Kouvola.
