The water plant in Noatak is leaning. So are the power poles in town. It is really hot in June and the permafrost is thawing, especially along the river. We visited the water plant as part of a climate change assessment. The foundation is cracked and the pipes could crack too. We went with Carol Wesley and looked at the old dump. Because of erosion, it is falling into the river.
