There were a plenty of what appeared to be juvenile dead stickle back fish on the top of the embankment of a few ponds. They looked heathy and may be an unusual mortality event of this fish. As observed in the photo you can notice that the difference in size that may indicate the stage of which many of the stickle backs have died. There is one that looks to be the size of an average mature stage stickle back.
