Observation: Juvenile Sand lance (Ammodytes personatus) were observed burrowing in coarse sand in Glencoe Cove, just north of Gordon Point Estates. Individuals were approximately 10-12cm in length. On approach, individuals would dart out of the sand, joining one another to form a small school of ~100. Observation made at 2:00PM during a 2.5m tide.
