Observation: The Sea Surface Temperature (SST) has generally increased at the Entrance Island station since 1936. It has fluctuated as shown in Figure 1, but with most positive (warm) anomalies from the long term average temperature occurring since 1980. Figure 2 shows a positive temperature anomaly for almost the entire year of 2015--the time period reported by Chandler (2016).
