11-15-14 Unseasonably warm - Kwinhagak, Alaska, USA
Observation: Unseasonably warm weather in Quinhagak. The river froze up the end of October beginning of November, but since then the weather has been above freezing melting all the snow and ice, reopening the river. These photos were taken over the weekend and the temperature is still way above average. Climate change affects us all. Locals are still able to go out hunting and fishing with boats. Everything is usually frozen this time of the year. Stephan Jones, Native Village of Kwinhagak, Environmental Specialist
