Dead Murres (Uria aalge)

Observation: The last few months we have had community members report that they have seen more dead murres wash up on our beaches. There was a member who went to one of the beaches on a boat and said there was a beach full of dead birds. We have seen some that looked very sick and unaware of what they were doing. Some were seen chasing fishing hooks over the summer while people were fishing.
