Unknown Bug (Ichneumonidae)

Observation: I have never seen this type of insect before, it was approximately 3/4 inch long maybe a bit longer, it was shore side crossing a dirt road with lots of trees and brush and about 200 or 300 feet from the ocean.

Cooperative Extension Service Consult: Jessie Moan, Statewide IPM Technician writes, "This is some kind of wasp, but not sure exactly what kind.
